Fiona graduated from the University of Queensland (UQ) in 2010 with a Masters in Physiotherapy Studies and received the APA Award for the most outstanding academic results in the Graduate Entry Masters Program. In 2020, Fiona completed a Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy at UQ. She is a Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, she completed her post-graduate Master’s of Physiotherapy from La Trobe University in 2022.
Fiona is an experienced musculoskeletal practitioner, but has also worked in hospital and community settings. She has a special interest in the management of hip, back and pelvic pain and also enjoys working with women who have musculoskeletal problems during and after pregnancy. She is a qualified Pilates instructor, gaining her DMA I and II certification in 2013 and certification in Rehabilitative Pilates with Polestar Pilates in 2015. Fiona is passionate about the benefits of Clinical Pilates and incorporates these principles into her treatment. She is dedicated to working with her clients to reach their movement and functional goals.
Outside of work Fiona loves her sports, especially hockey after having played Division 1 in the Brisbane Women’s Hockey League, and getting outside to explore the great outdoors with her husband and young children.
