Reflections on a busy year

2020 is shaping up to be a fantastic, and busy year. We have new and existing sporting partnerships, staff returning from maternity leave, new staff joining the team, as well as new programs starting in the clinic.

As 2020 gathers steam, we have taken some time to reflect on the many things that took place over the past year.

Our Restore Family grew, with new staff, and some new Restore babies, too.

Along the way, we helped over 2000 people move better — thank you for your trust and support. As a small business, it means so much to us that you come back whenever you need assistance.

Restore Function now stocks Archies Footwear

New Product

Restore Function now stocks Archies Footwear

2019 saw us become a new stockist of Archies Thongs. Archies were designed by a Physiotherapist in Victoria.

They are made from high quality foam material. They are extremely lightweight, with 2 different arch support options, and are the only thong recommended by Health Professionals.

We do have limited stock in the clinic, but if you are after a size or colour that we don’t have, let Amy know and she will be happy to order them in for you.

Partnerships

Miranda was the inaugural Head of Medical Services and Head Physiotherapist at the Brisbane Lions AFLW team since 2016. It was a role she thoroughly enjoyed, especially bringing her sports medical knowledge and standards from the elite men’s AFL space to ensure female athletes received the same high quality of practice. But with a young family at home, and too many late nights and weekends away Miranda has decided not to continue in this role. We wish all the players the best of luck for the 2020 season!

We are still heavily involved with a number of other sporting teams including: The Junior and Senior Coorparoo Australian Football Clubs; Mount Gravatt Vultures; NT National u18’s & u16’s teams; Barcelona Football Academy; along with our research projects with Bond University and ACU.

Restore Function has entered into a partnership with HandsOn Therapy.

Restore Function has entered into a partnership with HandsOn Therapy.

We are super excited to officially announce that we have gone into partnership with HandsOn – hand therapy services! We have combined forces to create a new company that specialises in Post-Op Physiotherapy (POP). We will be focusing on rehabilitation after orthopaedic shoulder, hip, knee, ankle and foot surgery starting pre- operatively, immediately following surgery and right through to the end stages to maximise surgical outcomes. We will be welcoming a new full time POP Physio in 2020 who will work at many of our private hospital locations, Kedron and Greenslopes clinics.
