At Restore Function Physiotherapy our musculoskeletal screening involves taking comprehensive information on your previous playing and injury history as well as your athletic goals to guide further physical assessment to minimise the risk of injury. Through various sport-specific tests and utilising our VALD performance technologies, we are able to measure and obtain health characteristics on a range of assessment items.
A musculoskeletal screening can be performed for anyone from the weekend warrior, adolescent athlete, whole sporting squads or the elite athlete looking for the edge in their training.
It involves learning about each individual’s history of injuries and treatments and running initial diagnostics to identify at-risk athletes. Following your assessment your physiotherapist will identify potential injury risk factors, develop a plan with specific exercises for you to implement addressing the deficits and muscular imbalances identified for you to reach your athletic potential and continue competing.
