Lauren was drawn to her career in physiotherapy from a desire to help people recover from injury and improve their quality of life. Shortly after graduating with honours from the University of Queensland, Lauren relocated with her husband to Townsville. She spent the next 10 years working at Townsville University Hospital, first in a full time capacity and later part time which allowed her to compliment her hospital work with private practice. With over 10 years of experience across both hospital and private practice settings, Lauren has developed excellent clinical skills to treat a diverse range of conditions.
After becoming a mother herself, Lauren was drawn to the area of women’s and pelvic health physiotherapy. She has completed advanced training in musculoskeletal pregnancy management, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary / bowel incontinence, abdominal separation and pelvic floor dysfunction. Lauren is passionate about post partum recovery. She loves to help new mothers navigate through all the changes they have experienced, rebuild their strength and confidence, and get back to the activities they enjoy.
Outside of work, Lauren loves to read or spend time at the beach with her husband and 3 young daughters.
